The axe head has a sloping concave blade pierced with geometric shapes and a fleur de lis, plus angled beak with thickened point. The spike has a diamond-section of 17” integrally forged side straps with ferrule and separate front and rear reinforcing straps. Features mounted on later octagonal wood shaft with period brass dome-head nails.
